RICK’S VOLUNTEER PROJECTS
The Rick’s Community Support Drive is about more than just one-time financial donations. It’s about forming lasting relationships with the organizations we work with and offering them help in real ways! That includes financial donations to their programs, along with volunteer hours, help with their projects, publicity to bring awareness to their work, and donations of goods and services! Below are just some of the recent efforts our employees have had in helping these organizations to achieve their goals!
September, 2020 Tennyson’s Wish – Partnership with Make-A-Wish Oregon

Rick’s returns to Impact NW to double 2020 Impact Kit donation!
For the second year in a row, Rick’s employees gathered together to donate Impact Kits to the families supported by Impact NW. Through donations made by employees and their families over 80 families will receive a kit filled with essential items for their homes. We also added a new coat of paint to the meeting space at Impact NW and donated funds for new carpeting and trip as well as funds for ongoing projects and family support in Impact NW’s continued fight against homelessness in the Portland area!
Rick’s Annual Toy Drive
Rick’s continued the tradition of collecting toys for those in need with our most successful Toy Drive to date! This year, we decided to continue relationships built through the Rick’s Community Support Drive over the summer and donate our toys to the deserving families supported by Impact NW and Domestic Violence Services of Benton & Franklin Counties.
Portland Rescue Mission Partnership
Rick’s had the pleasure of bringing some Christmas cheer to Portland Rescue Mission! We spent hours helping them put together over 300 Christmas kits filled with gloves, hand warmers, socks, hygiene products, snacks, and personalized notes and prayers from their donors and volunteers. We were also able to drop off a check for $2,500 from our Rick’s Community Support Drive fund! That amount helps supply a full day of meals for the over 900 people that Portland Rescue Mission feeds every day!!
Impact NW Volunteer Day
In June 2020, we gathered a small group of 12 Rick’s employees for a Volunteer Day helping Impact NW create over 50 of their Impact Kits that directly support families on the brink of homelessness. These kits of essential home items will help these families to have the necessary items that we take for granted every day.
