Celebrating First Responders & Teachers 2022
At Rick’s, we are so grateful for the first responders and teachers in our communities. To help show our appreciation, we’re again partnering with NBC Right Now Tri-Cities in Kennewick to shine a spotlight on these heroes.
We’re thrilled to sponsor Celebrating First Responders & Teachers for the second year so we can continue to share compelling stories of the brave men and women in our community. Nominations are open from February through August 2022.

2021 First Responder and Teacher nominees
Last year, 22 incredible people were nominated as vital first responders in our community. From teachers to law enforcement and from EMTs to registered nurses, last year’s group of nominees are supporting our community even in the most difficult of times.
Stephanie Koerner (LMHC and SUDP) is just one of those nominees. As a dual-licensed mental health counselor and substance-use disorder professional, Stephanie has been devoted to her clients throughout the pandemic, whether in-person or via telehealth. She also volunteers for New Directions, which is transitional housing for men leaving prison, and for youth soccer. Thank you, Stephanie.
