How To Care For and Maintain Your Gate
Cedar Gate Maintenance
- All adjust-a-gates come with a two stage, powder coated steel finish to handle the elements and be virtually maintenance free.
- If your gate is sagging, first check the level of the gate post to be sure your post isn’t off level. If it is your post, you may consider having it reset. If it is only the gate, place a torpedo level on top of the gate’s top rail. Next, turn the turnbuckle to tighten the sag line and lift the gate until it is level.
- For additional information, please download the Adjust A Gate installation instructions below (document in the Dropbox Aftercare folder provided by Logan)
For a Cedar Gate that is on a fully wood frame or a custom metal frame that does not have an anti sag kit, please contact your sales rep for care and maintenance instructions.

Aluminum Gate Maintenance
Aluminum Gates should require little to no maintenance. If issues arise here are the common fixes we have found:
If your gate’s hinges are Tru-Close hinges, you can adjust the closing speed with a screwdriver and turning the screw in the hinge.
Locinox latches feature adjustable day bolts and dead bolts. You can use a 3 mm hex key
to adjust the length of each bolt to help your gate latch best.
